Joseph told his brothers: It is not you who sent me here but God, and He has made me father to Pharaoh and lord to all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt. Joseph was soft on his brothers. To them he made no mention of the hardships he endured, instead he focused on the good times that God gave him. This teaches us that what we choose to remember and what we are prepared to forget is as important as what actually happens to us.
