Circumcision is part of a boy’s Jewish journey but this is not the beginning and it is not enough. In order for a child to grow Jewishly, the home must Give a share to seven. On Shabbat we do this by lighting candles, cooking food in advance and going to Synagogue. This is the best way to guarantee the blessing we bestow at a birth: may this child study Torah, stand under a chuppah and have a life full of good deeds.
