Since the word thus introduces it, we are not supposed to recite it in another language. Interestingly, the oldest fragment of the Bible discovered (so far) is a section of the priestly blessing. Written as a silver burial amulet and uncovered less than 40 years ago, it dates from before the destruction of the first Temple. It's unassailable proof that traditional Jews have treasured the Hebrew priestly blessing for a very long time.
