IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING SERVICES
Dear Community Members,
To enter most premises, the government now requires three vaccination doses. If the QR code you already sent us records your three vaccination doses then there is no need for you to do anything. If you have not yet had your third dose or you did not have your third dose when you sent us your QR code, then please send an updated QR code that shows you’ve had three doses. Only those who have had three doses will be able to attend services at OLS.
Anyone over the age of 12 who wishes to attend a Shabbat or Festival service and does not wish to carry or operate a phone must send the Synagogue a clear scan or photo of their vaccination record (QR Code or paper record). Please email or WhatsApp it to us. If you do this, we will take care of the rest (including LHS) at the JCC main entrance on Robinson Place.
Anyone under the age of 15 will only be allowed to attend services if they’re accompanied with an adult when entering the JCC.
It is illegal to enter the JCC or OLS without the LHS and Vaccination scheme. We are enabling anyone who wishes to observe this halacha to still attend services without needing to operate a phone themselves. We understand the inconvenience this will cause and beg your patience.
Ohel Leah Synagogue has served Hong Kong Jewry for over a hundred years. Today we connect Jews from around the world every day of the year – especially on Shabbat. We are a place where Judaism naturally joins the rhythm of life. Whether you are visiting, single, newly married, recently relocated with your family, or have not yet had a chance to stop by, we invite you to check us out. We are a kehilla, a community, and this means we strive to be a place where everyone feels valued. We are proud of our blend of Orthodox practice in a non-judgmental environment, and we invite you to experience all this and so much more. Our inspiring sanctuary is the jewel of Hong Kong Jewry, come inside, connect to our history and you will be moved to make us the Jewish centre of your life in Hong Kong.
